The Problem With "Clean"

Walk into any store and you'll find shelves lined with candles claiming to be clean, natural, or non-toxic. Look closer and you'll find soy blends cut with paraffin, synthetic fragrance oils dressed up as aromatherapy, and ingredient lists so vague they tell you nothing about what you're actually breathing.

The word clean has been stretched so far it's lost its meaning. We built Vesper to give it back.

What We Actually Put In Our Candles

Our unscented Pure candle is 100% filtered beeswax and a cotton wick. Nothing else. No blends, no additives, no exceptions.

Our scented candles blend filtered beeswax with coconut oil — beeswax for its long, clean burn and natural air-purifying properties, coconut oil for a smooth, even melt that carries essential oils gradually and evenly from the first hour to the last. Every scent comes exclusively from pure essential oils or botanical CO₂ extracts. No synthetic fragrance. No phthalates. No shortcuts.

If an ingredient can't meet that standard, it doesn't go in the candle.

Why Beeswax

Paraffin is a petroleum byproduct. Most commercial soy is heavily processed and routinely blended with synthetic additives. Beeswax is different — one of the only waxes that occurs naturally, unchanged for thousands of years of human use.

As it burns, beeswax emits negative ions that bind to airborne pollutants, dust, and allergens, leaving the air around it genuinely cleaner. It burns slower and produces less soot than any conventional alternative. Once you understand what it actually does, everything else feels like a compromise.

Who This Is For

Vesper candles are for people who read ingredient labels. Who have made deliberate choices about what goes in and on their bodies, and don't see why their candles should be any different. Who want a candle that does something — not just one that smells good.

Each candle is hand-poured in small batches. Each scent is sourced from genuine botanical materials. Each jar is made to earn its place in your space.

Wax 

100% filtered beeswax for Pure. Beeswax and coconut oil for scented. No paraffin. No soy. No synthetic additives.

Scent

Pure essential oils and botanical CO₂ extracts only. No synthetic fragrance, no fragrance oils, no phthalates.

Wicks 

Natural cotton wicks, lead-free and zinc-free. No metal core, no additives.
